Dean is now nine months old, but the past few days have been some long ones for both him and mama. As you can see below, he wasn't very cooperative in taking the nine months pictures. It also explains how he was pretty much acting when he turned 9 months.
Dean is not crawling, but I think he might try to walk first... He pulls up onto everything and moves around that way. Dean now has seven teeth, working on eight, and we are excited to be done with the teething phase hopefully soon (or at least hopefully a long break between when we get the back molars). We love to hear him talk! He says "dada" "mom" (not mama...) "bubba" "papa" "ya" and waves bye, gives kisses, hands you what he has when you ask him to share, and plays peek-a-boo. He is so smart, and we love watching him learn new things which seems to be on a daily basis now.
We celebrated my Dad's birthday on the 28th of October (also the day Dean was officially nine months) by going out to dinner, presents and having cake and icecream. Dean loved helping me wrap presents and decorate for Papa's birthday. He was really fascinated by the candles on the cake. We can't wait until it will be his birthday cake he is sitting in front of. It was also my wonderful mother-in-law's birthday the same day. We wish we could have been there to celebrate...
Our first Halloween with Dean was so fun. Holiday's are way better with kids Andrew and I have decided. We went to my cousins little girls Halloween birthday party where Dean got to wear his little football player costume for the first time. Then, we went to our church's Trunk or Treat the Wednesday before Halloween. Our friends Avery and Cole with their adorable, little girl Allie came with us too.
We had to dress Dean up as a cute Georgia football player this year with the helmet. He was just so cute, but kept wiping the black paint under his eyes off. He was the cutest football player I have ever seen. To stick with the theme, Andrew was the coach and I was a fellow football player. Guess we have to stick with the sports theme for Halloween for next year, since last year we were a basketball family.
We decked out the back of my car like a football field and passed out candy in a huge football. Dean looks so cute in this picture.
Last year, Dyson was the referee while my belly was the basketball, I was the hoop and Andrew the basketball player. We had to stick with the same thing this year.
Dean loves his friend Allie. They were so cute together, and Allie had the most adorable Minnie Mouse outfit ever. They kept giving each other kisses.
On Halloween we had a nice relaxing night. We ordered pizza and ate tons of candy. Dean and I did a little Halloween craft and "helped" Andrew carve pumpkins. He really is talented at it. This year we carved Mickey since that is Dean's favorite show (well the only one that can keep his attention for about ten minutes). Dean was so excited to see the pumpkin. He also loved watching the door for more trick o' treaters in his cute pajamas from Granny. We let Dean try his first piece of candy, and he loved it!
Although Dean had a fever, slight ear infection, and was teething, he was such a sweet happy baby. Andrew and I are lucky to have him around to make Holiday's like Halloween so much sweeter.
