Spring is in the Air

I LOVE Spring and all the beauty it brings. We have been spending a lot more time outside enjoying the warm weather. Luckily, Dean loves to be outside just as much as I do. Dean is now almost 15 months and in the most fun stage ever! He loves to play and snuggle, and he is such a little social butterfly. He has to wave and blow kisses to everyone we see. He will walk right up to strangers without any hesitation. I have to keep my eyes on that little charmer!

For St. Patrick's Day we had a chill day at home. Dean and I made a green lunch for him to eat in his cute green shirt.

The excitement for the month of March was having Andrew's sister fly in for his Spring Break and hang out with us for a week. We were so excited to have her visit since we don't see his family nearly enough being all the way out here. Lyssa and Tilly flew in on a red eye flight that got in Thursday morning. That weekend, we went shopping, did a session at the Atlanta Temple, did a little photo shoot session with the babies, watched movies, went on a hike, and spent time together. It was good for Dean and Tilly to get to know each other and play together.

Unfortunately, Lyssa got sick Sunday night into Monday with some type of flu, so we had to cram everything that we wanted to do into Tuesday (her last day here). It was the most fun, exciting, and busy day! We went to the Botanical Gardens in the morning which were absolutely incredible! Tulips are now my favorite flower ever and I could spend every day there. Dean and Tilly were so cute walking about the place and following each other. They really have become good friends!

After the Gardens, we were hungry so we drove through someplace real quick and then headed over to the Coca-Cola Museum. We did the tour and then got to taste all the Coke! The babies were amazing the whole day with everything we had planned. Such a blessing! After the Coke Museum, we headed over to the Georgia Aquarium. The fish were beautiful and it was so fun to see Dean and Tilly's reaction to all the fish. Dean kept giving Tilly hugs in front of the big tank.

We got ice cream after all that fun and drove home (the babies exhausted from the busy day). It really was a lot to see in Atlanta in one day, but we totally pulled it off and loved it! Andrew and I were thinking how much we love Atlanta with how much there really is to do and see. It really is a fun city to live close to and we don't take advantage of it nearly enough! Overall, we had a great time with Lyssa and Tilly and it was really sad to see them leave.

The rest of Andrew's break we got to hang out and we took a trip to the Atlanta Zoo which was also so fun! Dean loves seeing all of the animals and tries to make the sounds of each one (even if some are way off! haha).

The weekend before Andrew started back to school, we got to watch the LDS General Conference as a family Easter morning. Dean was so good and played while we listened to our amazing and inspired Prophets. Dean was spoiled on Easter with gifts from Grandma Owen, my parents and the Easter Bunny. We had practiced the day before on how to go on an egg hunt, so he did so good when we did one outside that afternoon. He even was able to put the eggs in his basket and learned the word "egg". He is such a sponge and soaks up everything we say and do. This Easter was so special, and I love the opportunity we have to really focus on the Savior and all that He has done for us. It is #BecauseOfHim that I can be with my family forever! 

It was crazy to compare last Easter to this Easter! Wow, how things have changed!
